The Museum has developed three Lesson Plans that focus on specific topics of the museum’s exhibits, and these curriculum materials are available to educators at no charge.
FROM ENSLAVEMENT TO EMANCIPATION AT THE BIBB HOUSE LESSON PLAN
In this lesson plan, students will learn about the enslavement and the emancipations that occurred at the Bibb House and the reactions of the descendants of the enslaved people and of the man who enslaved and emancipated them as told in the film "Invented Before You Were Born".
Bibb House Lesson Plan "BY PARTIES UNKNOWN" LESSON PLAN
In this lesson plan, students will learn about our country’s history of racial violence and its impact on past and present generations by learning the story of the violent lynchings of four black men in Russellville in 1908 as told in the PBS documentary " By Parties Unknown".
